Makarand Bakore
Originally from Mumbai. Worked in the corporate sector for three years before joining CCS as a Research Associate. Was involved with research and advocacy in the areas of governance and education at CCS. Studied engineering, management and political science. Currently working with a non-profit group called Right to Information Analysis and Assessment Group that is studying the functioning of the Right to Information Act. Planning on joining the legal profession after getting the LL.B degree this May.

Deepak Menon
A Chartered Accountant by profession and a partner for over 20 years with J.P., Kapur & Uberai, a professional accounting firm in Delhi. He specialises in international taxation, cross-border taxation, transfer pricing, expat & inpat taxes and direct taxes. A Toastmaster since August 2002 and have been a President of the Toastmasters Club of New Delhi and presently the Lt. Governor Education & Training (LGET) for District 82.
District 82 presently comprises of about 140 Toastmasters Clubs in India and Sri Lanka and is administered by the District Governor, LGET and LGM assisted by 9 Division Governors and 32 Area Governors. Our District was rated the best District in the world in 2007-2008 by Toastmasters International, USA .

Karuna Madan
A journalist with about 13 years of news media experience which includes working with a English newspaper (The Pioneer), a news agency (PTI), one news magazine (India News), four television channels (Doordarshan, Sahara Samay, MH1 News and India News) and state radio, All India Radio (General Overseas Services). Founder and Chief Volunteer of iCONGO, Indian Confederation of NGOs. He previously worked as the Chief Executive and Director, International Fundraising, of ActionAid India Society, after giving up a successful corporate career, which included founding a media and entertainment start-up "Lucky Star Entertainment Ltd". One of the pioneers to use entertainment formats like movies, music albums & videos, TV serials, events and out of the box ideas through cause related marketing to mainstream the cause he has consistently used the media effectively to sensitise people about social issues including the popular Page 3 campaign with The Times Foundation that caught people attention and made them aware of various issues and invisible communities.

Yavnika Khanna
Yavnika Khanna is Associate Manager at an international integrated marketing firm, Solutions Digitas. Besides a corporate career, Yavnika Khanna has been involved with several civil society initiatives both in the capacity of founder and facilitator.
She along with her younger brother have been running a self motivated Initiative- "Vatsalaya: Awareness through Art" since 2002. She is the founder member of Liberal Youth Forum of India, which promotes values of liberty and responsibility. She has also founded CBS Alumni Association, and serves as the Secretary of the same. She has represented India at numerous prestigious international forums across 4 continents. She has been closely associated with Centre for Civil society since 2003 as a particpant/resourceperson for LSS, ALSS, CFW, Internship and is editor of CCS's eCatalyst.

Parth J Shah
Founder President of Centre for Civil Society (CCS). Parth received his B Pharm from M S University, Baroda , and Ph D in economics (with an emphasis on Austrian Political Economy) from Auburn University in the USA . He taught economics at the University of Michigan at Dearborn before returning to India to start the Centre for Civil Society in 1997.He has conceptualised and organised liberal educational programs for the Indian youth including Liberty & Society Seminars, Jeevika Livelihood Documentary Competition, and Researching Reality Internship Program. 
Parth is on the editorial board of Education World , Vishleshan, and Khoj, and is informal advisor to many non-profits. He has taken liberal ideas to numerous national and international workshops and conferences and writes regularly in the popular media.  He is the youngest Indian member of the Mont Pelerin Society.

Baladevan Rangaraju
Associate Director of the School Choice Campaign, CCS's flag ship program. He has a wealth of leadership experience as an entrepreneur and a school leader before joining CCS. While as an entrepreneur he has set up an adventure tourism outfit that his partner now manages, his knowledge of how the education system of the country works comes from his having been a school administrator. A recent initiative of his to utilize his expertise has been to start a charitable primary school to provide modern education opportunities to the children of a poor Muslim village near Delhi
He is passionate about bringing equitable quality education to all and acts as a resource person for education related public policy discussions in the main stream media as well as in other forums. He is also an informal advisor to many schools.

Swati Chawla
She is a graduate of the Liberty , Art & Culture Seminar, Delhi 2004; and has since then been taking sessions at CCS seminars and following up with graduates. She is also a mentor for British Council's 'Beyond Borders' project and a Research Associate for Dhriiti's 'Ek Naya Aasman' project. She has recently been appointed the Regional Coordinator for Asia for Glocal Youth Parliament (Glocal Forum). She is currently doing her masters in Literature from Delhi University and is also a short story writer.

Amit Chandra
Program Associate with Centre for Civil Society. He graduated in Commerce and post graduated in Social Work from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University , Varanasi . He has been participant in "International Youth Exchange Program - 2007". He worked for campus and community radio of Guelph University , Canada , and hosted a show spreading the awareness about the availability of various social services in the city. He also worked at grass rout level with "Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses", Hathin, Haryana for assessment of micro financial status of self help groups of women. He is also a Think Tank MBA from Atlas Foundation, USA . He was recently invited for an international conference for networking of think tanks at Niagara on Lake , Canada.

Manoj Mathew
Program Manager of CCS, responsible for the youth reachout, volunteer moblisation and coordinates ‘Jeevika' the Livelihood Documentary Film Festival. A commerce graduate from St. Xavier's College Calcutta and has a diploma in computer programming. Prior to joining CCS, he was the Asian Coordinator and then as the Secretary General of the International Young Catholic Students (IYCS), a student organisation present in over 80 countries, recognised with the Special Consultative Status of the United Nations-ECOSOC (Economic and Social Commission). He was based in Manila and Paris for seven years; he has organised & facilitated programs and did representation in 34 countries.
