CCS seminars and internships make you look deeper, find out the root causes of India's problems and their relation to government policies. They challenge conventional wisdom and encourage you to come up with sustainable solutions!

The overall objective of all CCS programs to engage the youth with social and economic issues through an understanding of public policy.

Why the focus on public policy?

•  All policies of the government that come to bear upon the lives of the general public in some way can be broadly called as public policy. It comprises of policy decisions in different areas like education, health, governance, livelihood and environment. History is replete with examples of how a small change in policy has resulted in both glorious and disastrous results. If the state makes an ill-informed policy decision, more than a billion Indians are affected by it!

•  Instead of strikes and dharnas, youth can connect with social issues in an engaging, productive, and participatory way. This form of social activism encourages youth to focus on the importance of institutions and policies and channelise their energies to create knowledge that is useful in creating a better society.

At CCS programs, you will learn, you will share, you will meet new friends. You will grow to be the person others seek out for insights and explanations. And you'll be a better advocate of the principles of a just, free, peaceful society.
