Centre for Civil Society is hosting an informal dialogue with Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) to discuss new policy idea and options to introduce greater choice for parents and students in the education sector.

Ensuring the availability of good quality education in India is one of the key challenges faced by our elementary and higher education systems today. Many new developments and thoughts are emerging today, that have the potential to have a long-lasting positive impact on the education system as a whole.

Through this event we aim to engage with policymakers on the concept of Choice in Education, and share some models built around this theme, which have been adopted in various forms in different countries. We believe that through constructive dialogue and knowledge sharing, we can together solve some of the most pertinent and difficult issues facing the education sector in India.

Shri Gurcharan Das is an author, consultant and public intellectual, and writes regular columns for the Times of India and Dainik Bhaskar (and guest columns for The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Foreign Afairs, Time and Newsweek).
